The Tradescantia has been quite prolific in March producing new shoots all over the place, at the bottom of the stems and in various leaf bases. I can certainly understand why this plant is used for ground cover and why it is considered a weed in warmer climates. As a result of the prolific growth the plant has become very oversized for it's pot and is more thirsty, requiring daily watering. Unfortunately my new pots are not due to arrive until mid April, so I will have to hope it can hang on until then.
