Ananas comosus

I was pleased to see some signs of new growth on the Aechmea gamosepala in May, which came as a bit of a surprise, as it was in a fairly poor state after it's journey here. Unfortunately another plant fell on top of this one causing damage right where the new growth had started to happen, which couldn't have come at a worse time, when the plant was still in a state of recovery. I have now moved it to a new position, where there are unlikely to be similar incidents in the future. The new postion is slightly warmer and with a little more light, but not greatly different to the previous location. I will continue with regular misting and infrequent watering and hopefully be able to observe a little more growth in June
