Much as last month, the Geonoma schottiana grew well during April, although I would say based on it's current growth rate that it will not need re-potting for at least 3-4 months, probably more. There have still been no others germinate yet. With some of the other species, I was thinking maybe bottom heat would be better than ambient heat to encourage germination, but bearing in mind the cool habitat of Geonoma schottiana, I don't think soil temperature is an issue. With more ambient heat over the summer months, I will at least find out if lack of heat is the problem, but I suspect not.
