Dypsis florencei

Finally the Dypsis florencei has started to produce a second leaf. It is not easily apparent in the picture, as it has only just started to emerge, but it is still very encouraging after months of little happening. There have been no changes to watering, feeding, etc. but I do intend to remove the lid of the germination box for longer periods over the coming months, so that the plants inside can get used to the lower humidity levels outside of the box, prior to their permanent move out of the box. Admittedly, it is likely to be some time before the Dypsis florencei are moved out, but many of the other species will have to be moved out starting in May.
