Chamaedorea radicalis (Trunking Form)

The Chamaedorea radicalis (Trunking Form) seedlings continued with slow growth during April. They survived a week without water, while I was away, with no ill effects and seem generally happy. Although some new pots arrived mid way through the month, I gave priority to some other palms, which were in greater need of re-potting, so these will be re-potted in May now. The growth of the various Chamaedorea seedlings has been generally slower than most other species, possibly due to low light levels. They are also looking rather stretched, which would seem to confirm that they could do with more light. When I separate and re-pot, I will try the separated seedlings in different light levels to see which works best. Other than the week without water the feeding and watering regime has remained unchanged.
