Due to various other plants being moved, I had to relocate the Chamaedorea cataractarum in April. The new location offers slightly more shade, but is otherwise very similar. This palm coped well with no water for a week, while I was away, despite being a rheophyte and being in a medium that tends to dry out quite quickly. With nothing to pollinate the flowers, they have now died back and normal growth has resumed. There have been no changes to feeding or watering, because the pot still dries out just as quickly in the new location.
