Macrozamia moorei

After re-potting in April, the Macrozamia moorei immediately started to put on new growth in May. This is very pleasing after months of slow and abnormal growth. It will take a long time for all of the abnormal leaves to be replaced, but it's good to see this cycad growing normally again. This is a testament to the resilience of cycads, which will often endure years of neglect and then start growing again when their conditions are improved. The new mix seems ideal as it holds a lot of air and not too much moisture, it does require more frequent watering, but that will also help to avoid salt build up.
