I purchased this Cycas taitungensis as a three leaf seedling in August 2005. It had grown exceptionally well up until December 2006, when a bad storm caused the pot to fall over and break, as well as breaking all of the opening leaves and a few of the older leaves. Previously the plant had just been flushing continuously, but there has not been a new flush since December. It now has a new, larger pot, which it was due for anyway and hopefully it will recover and get back to it's previous growth rate. There doesn't seem to be any deterioration in health and maybe with the new pot, it is going to put on a bit more root growth before it's next flush. This plant is in my polytunnel at the moment, but I will be trying it outside when it is a little larger.
